- Raag Sohni or Sohini or Sohani uses 5 notes in ascending and 6 notes in descending order and Pa is not used in this raag and re is komal flat and week, Ma' is Tivra higher and other swar notes are shuddh normal. Please see Aroh, Avroh and Pakad of this raag
- It belongs to Marwa Thaat and it's time of playing is fourth period of night, very early morning (4 am to 7 am morning). Its Vadi swar is Dha and Samvadi is Ga.
