1. Raag Khamaj uses 6 notes in ascending and 7 notes in descending order. It does not use Re in ascending and also ni is komal (Flat) in descending order.

2. It’s Vadi swar is G and Samvadi N. It’s time of playing is second period of night (9/10 pm to 12 night/1 am).

3. Pluck Da & Ra alternate. When Da & Ra are played together, it becomes Dir.
