Online Hindustani Classical Music Lessons (Vocal, Sitar, Flute & Tabla)
Hindustani classical music is the foundation of any form of singing or instrumental music in any language from the northern regions of the Indian subcontinent – Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Pashto, Nepali, and others, whether it is Classical, Film Songs, Bhajans, Ghazals or Folk Songs. If you want to sing well, there is simply no substitute to methodically learning the basics of Sargam, Alankar, Raag, Aalaap, Taan and Taal.
Hindustani classical music has a long tradition of being taught and learnt face-to-face. These online lessons are our humble contribution to help those who wish to learn this sublime, soulful music, but do not have access to a good teacher locally from whom they can learn face-to-face.
We have short video clips of lessons on how to Sing and how to play the Sitar, complete with notations and explanations. The lessons feature Shri Radheyshyam Gupta, a passionate and highly knowledgeable teacher and performer with decades of experience. Radheyshyam was awarded the Order of Australia Medal in 2014 for his contributions to propagating Hindustani classical music in Australia.
We have lessons for beginners as well as those who may have learnt elsewhere before, and they are for all ages. We are continuously also adding new lessons.
In addition to the free lessons, we offer a $5 per month subscription to view all other Lessons for Vocal, Sitar, Flute and Tabla. The monthly cost is even lesser if you subscribe for yearly or lifetime.
