1. Raag Malkauns uses only 5 notes in ascending and descending order. In this raga, R and P are not used and Ga, Dha, & Ni are komal (flat) represented by g, d & n

2. We will start Alap with streching (meand) now

3. This lesson is the Initial Alap for playing before and after every Alap in subsequent lessons. Get enough practice of stretching before this, so that the sound of notes is correct when you strech a note
