Dr Saif Chopra

M.B.B.S., D.T.M. & H., (Lond), D.Path (Eng), D.C.P. (Lond), FRCPA   /  Consultant Pathologist  /  Hon. Senior Lecturer – Monash Univ. Medical School

Dr Chopra’s interest in music commenced during his high school days in Zanzibar (East Africa) and Piano - Accordion became his favorite instrument during his medical college days and Serious singing and playing the piano grew as passions in Australia.

Writing was his instinct since childhood

(Even wrote and directed a play after his graduation.)

Hindi and Urdu verses writing began to appeal to him with advancing years as the gates of maturity began to unfold..

He has always cherished devotional and philosophical writing in English as well as in Hindi Urdu medium.

Highlights in music arena were playing on accordion in London on BBC.

Playing for a charity performance in Zanzibar had raised his spirits.

But beyond this "hobby", his medical specialty in anatomical pathology led him to research in the field of geography of cancer for which he was awarded WHO travel fellowship.

This enabled him to go on a lecture tour of many overseas medical and academic institutes (see list below).

Delivering a talk as a guest lecturer in the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine was one of the finest  moments of  his life.
